One of the first things a holistic health counselor will ask when seeing clients is how much water
they drink and what type of water.

It's amazing how many people feel that cokes, coffee, and tea are the same as water. Anything that
makes your body work to digest it is not going to give you the benefit of water. Also, unfiltered tap water
is something most health conscious individuals never drink unless there is no other option.

process by producing histamines, causing pain and fatigue. This natural process is meant to slow us down and
conserve water. Histamines are released as a warning signal that something is wrong.

A warm shower opens the pores of the skin and allows a high rate of absorption of chlorine and other chemicals.
The steam we inhale while showering can contain up to 20 times the level of chlorine and other synthetic
chemicals than tap water due to the fact that these chemicals vaporizes at a lower temperature and at a much
faster rate than water.


Because of the importance of water in maintaining a healthy body, it is wise to intake water that is optimal and
with the realization that more chemicals enter our body through skin absorption and inhalation of steam while
